My vacation routine

It’s summer and some of you will be on vacation. I’m writing this in the car to our destination in France as we speak. So I have some time to write for you.

We all know how important skin care is. If you are on vacation and you don’t have the ‘time’ for it, here is my quick skincare routine.

In the morning I wash my face with soap. When you sleep, your skin will repair itself and when this process happens, it also produces dirt. Also your pillowcase has also a lot of dirt on it. After I washed my face I spray some tonic. This is the tea tree tonic from The Body Shop. In the summer I have a more oilier skin because of the heat and the sweat. Tea tree oil has a very curing element to it. So my skin will be super soft and will stay less oilier through the whole day. After I put my serum and moisturizer on to keep my skin moist all day. As moisturizer, I use the Aloe vera cream from holika holika. I love aloe vera because it’s a natural moisturizer and the holika holika is 99% aloe vera, so it doesn’t have a chemical smell to it and the packaging of the product looks so nice. I really recommend this!

Sunscreen is the most important factor in this morning skincare routine. Although you sit in a car or you are outside for a short while, you still should put some sunscreen on. It’s very important to keep your skin protected to prevent various skin problems and skin cancer. Most of us want to get a little bit of tan during our vacation but I think it’s more important to care about our skin then the tan. Also an extra tip, if you put some sunscreen in the morning everyday, it will decrease the ageing process so less wrinkles when you get older!

In the evening I will repeat the morning skincare routine but I replace the sunscreen for vitamine C drops. This will give my skin some extra boost. Also my (body)skin can be a little bit dry because of the airconditioning. For that I will use also my holika holika aloe vera. Aloe is useable for the whole body and my skin loves it and it makes my skin very soft!

While I’m in France, I will give you updates on my adventure and I will keep you posted on instagram  and on our facebook page so don’t forget to follow us!
