Cooking Cooking: Kimchi soup

Hi everyone!

Here is a blogpost from me, trying to make Kimchi soup for the first time!
I used the recipe from Maangchi that you can find here.

Let’s get started!

The ingredients that Maangchi used were:
– 1 package of tofu (14 ounces:396 gams), cut into bite sized cubes
– 2 cups of chopped kimchi
- ½ pound of pork shoulder (or pork belly), cut into bite sized pieces
– 2 Tablespoons of hot pepper paste
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
– 5 cups of water
– 2 stalks of green onions, chopped

All the ingredients were chopped, so I combined the kimchi, hot pepper paste, kimchi juice, pork, and sugar in a pan.

I added 1 liter of water even though 5 cups of water is more than that (but I had a 1 liter pan) and brought everything to a boil and cooked it for 30 minutes.

Cooking Cooking: NA NA NA TAKOYAKI

When I was surfing on the internet I found takoyaki mix powder. I thought OMG NOW I CAN MAKE TRY TO MAKE IT BY MYSELF :D. But the problem was that I didn’t have a pan to make it in. I came with the idea to make it with a popcake maker, and I ordered the mix. The next problem was the pop cake maker because I didn’t have one. But this year ( I ordered the mix last year around December) I got one for my birthday.

Now I want to share my takoyaki experience with you!

If you don’t know what takoyaki is, takoyaki is a popular Japanese dumpling.
