Facialmask Review: Anskin Green Tea Rubber Mask

This mask is for Sensitive skin, Skin trouble, Dark and Droopy Skin and Dry skin. This mask contains a lot of good ingredients; like green tea extracts inhibit skin oxidation that keeps your skin youthful, clear and helps maintain the health of the skin because of its rich ingredients such as vitamin E. The ingredient called Catechin contained in green tea prevents skin oxidation and suppresses the black mark generated from UV rays. The vitamin C ingredient in green tea helps to improve the skin to brighten up.This mask is a rubber mask that you have to make by yourself. You get about 7,5 grams of the powder and mix it with water until you have the right consistency that you are happy with. I always use a little bit more of it, so I can put a thick layer on my face...

Popularity of Japanese culture in France

Manga section in a supermarket

As I wrote a blogpost last time about what you can find in France about Japanese culture (click here) I want to talk about why it’s so popular here. I did some research and I found a lot of reason why it could be so popular, but keep in mind I could totally be wrong!

The relationship between France and Japan goes back to early 1700 century. But that is a little bit too far for us. What we do know is that there was a president that was a Japanophile himself. He visited Japan around 40 times and was a Japan expert. He also started several promotion campagnes about Japan and started the exchange programme JET. Also in cuisine they have a close relationship, which Japan is heavily inspired by the France cuisine.

As for anime and manga, it’s also very popular he...

My vacation routine

It’s summer and some of you will be on vacation. I’m writing this in the car to our destination in France as we speak. So I have some time to write for you.

We all know how important skin care is. If you are on vacation and you don’t have the ‘time’ for it, here is my quick skincare routine.

16-07-15-21-18-15-912_deco

In the morning I wash my face with soap. When you sleep, your skin will repair itself and when this process happens, it also produces dirt. Also your pillowcase has also a lot of dirt on it. After I washed my face I spray some tonic. This is the tea tree tonic from The Body Shop. In the summer I have a more oilier skin because of the heat and the sweat. Tea tree oil has a very curing element to it. So my skin will be super soft and will stay less oilier through the whole day...

Noblesse manwha

Well some of you know that I’m a big manga and manwha fan. So I wanted to talk about (what I think) the most known manwha and it’s one of my favorites as well.

I started to read this in the summer of 2014 when they were just published in English. The manwha is written by Son Jeho and illustrated by Lee Kwangsu and was started on December 30 in 2007 as a webtoon/manwha. This manwha is published on Naver and is still on going.

Noblesse

Noblesse is about a powerful noble vampire. Cadis Etrama Di Raizal (aka Rai because we all know that his name is too long to pronounce it everytime) , the nobblesse wakes up from a 820-year long sleep and starts a new life  in the land which he once knew, that had become an unfamilair place with new technology, attitudes, and lifestyles...

Charlotte’s review: Geek in Japan

As we know, Japan isn’t all about manga and anime. But most of us don’t know or just don’t want to know more about the culture of Japan. But, if you want to learn more, Geek in Japan is a good book. It talks about a anime culture, work culture, food and a lot more. It isn’t a guidebook that you could take with you in Japan, but more of a culture guide book for us otaku’s. It’s written for the people who grew up with Pokemon, manga and videogames, better to say, us internet users who wants to learn more about the culture and hopefully travel there one day.

Pocky and Pepero

Valentine’s day is over and you’ve got some pocky from your loved ones ( or you bought it for yourself). You look at it and think: ‘Where is it even coming from? And what is the difference between Pepero and Pocky?’

Pocky new package
‘Sukky’ comes from ‘suki’ which means love and pocky.  But for us forneigers, it’s quite funny.

And what is the history of pocky? And pepero?

Well if you keep reading you will know!

The orginal chocolate covered biscuit was first sold in 1966. The name ‘Pocky’ comes from the sound that you make when you eat it, which is pokkin. In 1976 the original was followed by the (all mighty) almond coating, and in 1977 the strawberry coating came out. Nowadays you have all sorts of flavors like milk, mouse, matcha (green tea), honey, cookies and cream, and many more flavors...

14 days’s in South Korea

The 14th of every month is a holiday in South Korea. This is quite ironic, as it is a number to be feared in Asia; the word for four is the same as the word for death. Most of these days are for couples to celebrate their love. We made a list for you!
